The Social Sciences Student Union is a part of Lund University’s Student Unions (LUS). All the student unions i Lund gather together in LUS to influence the university at the central level. As part of LUS, we have a place in their nominating council and spots in their highest decision making body. Most work in LUS is conducted in Swedish due to the Language Act requiring the university to work in Swedish.
LUS is an umbrella organization for all the student unions in Lund. Each union elects a representative to LUS’ election committee, lead by an already elected president. The election committee process all applicants for next year’s presidium as well as LUS’ student representatives.
