The Election Committee consists of one president, four ordinary members and two alternate members. They are responsible for the arrangement of the Representative Assembly election which takes place in April and October every year. In the election all members of the union get the opportunity to vote for their candidates for the highest decision making body of the union.
The Election Committee promotes the election, collects candidacies and nominations and works to ensure that many people know about the election and that many different departments are represented among the candidates. The Election Committee also arranges the election itself, works for a high turnout and controls the vote count. Read more about the assignment in the by-laws.
