The meeting documents will also be made available for all members on the Social Sciences Student Union’s website.

Motions and errands
Is there a point you wish to see raised during the Assembly’s meeting? In that case, you must submit this before the corresponding deadline. The following deadlines apply:

Motions – latest 28 April
A motion is a suggestion for a decision submitted by an individual member of the student union. It could propose something you want the student union to do, a new rule you want to implement, or an opinion you think that the student union should promote.

All motions that are submitted receive a written response by the Board of the student union. Therefore, motions must be submitted no later than 10 business days before the meeting, i.e. latest April 28th.

We encourage you to follow the student union’s Motions Template. Make sure that your suggestion for decision, i.e. your move, is clearly stated. Send your motion to [email protected]

Discussions – latest 5 May
Is there something that you want the Assembly to discuss? Submit your question to the Assembly Presiding Committee ([email protected]) no later than 6 business days before the meeting, i.e. latest February 18th.

Your discussion point should have a clearly outlined question, and please include some background as to why you wish for the question to be raised.

Information – latest 5 May
Do you hold a position of trust in the student union, and want to inform the Assembly of something? Submit your information point to the Assembly Presiding Committee ([email protected]) no later than 6 business days before the meeting, i.e. latest May 5th. Large information points should be submitted accompanied by a written document.

Interpellation – latest 28 April
Members of the Social Sciences Student Union are able to direct formal questions, called interpellations, towards trustees of the student union, which they are then obligated to respond to before the Assembly. Interpellations must be submitted in writing to the Speaker of the Assembly ([email protected]) no later than 10 business days before the meeting.

Late errands
Errands that are submitted after the above-presented deadlines, may only be treated if a qualified majority of the Assembly agrees to it.

Elections
On the Election Assembly meeting #2, 25th of April, elections to positions of trust within the Social Sciences Student Union for the operational year 2026/2027 are handled. Are you interested in becoming an active part of the Student Union next year? Apply to a position without a nominated candidate on Election meeting #2! The summons to the meeting and other information can be found on the Student Union’s website. If you are intending to candidate on the spot, please inform us by sending an email to [email protected]!

A complete list of all of the Social Sciences Student Union’s positions of trust and who has been nominated to which position can be found here:

The positions of trust that are left vacant after Election meeting #2 are by-elected at the sixth Assembly meeting, May 13th. Do you want to apply for such a position? Send a mail with which position you are interested in and a text describing who you are, why you have chosen to apply to the position and what relevant experience you have to [email protected].

Responses submitted will be presented to the Assembly, which will hold elections to vacant positions of trust during its meeting on May 13.

Candidates are also invited to present themselves in person at the meeting! Elections will be held early-on in the meeting. Once the meeting documents have been sent (May 6th), the Assembly Presiding Committee will inform you of an appropriate time to show up.
