We do have fun!

At Samhällsvetarkåren we work with many difficult and important questions, but we also have fun! We plan events, big and small, to welcome new students to the faculty, thank our active members and make the student experience more enjoyable for all our members. If you are interested in events, you can become active in one of the specific project groups The Vieri, The Novischeri, and The Ball Committe.​

The Vieri General's main task is to lead the Vieri. As Vieri General, you manage the planning and execution of events and organize meetings with the event committee. The Vieri general is a trustee and is elected by the council for a term of one year.

The Novice General's main task is to arrange the Novice periods, they also have special responsibility for the annual Battle of Conscience event. The Battle of Conscience is an event organized by the student union that includes all student union sections and program associations where they compete in a tournament, the event ends with a big after party! The Novice general is a trustee and is elected by the council for a term of one year.

The Ball general leads the Ball committee and is responsible for the Social Science Student Union's annual ball. The Ball Committee is the committee that makes the ball possible! As a member of the Ball Committee you attend meetings of the whole Ball Committee, you arrange and attend smaller working group meetings, you contribute to planning, in the main group and in individual working groups as well as take part in logistical planning in the lead up to and during the ball day! The Ball general is a trustee and is elected by the council for a term of one year.

The time commitment can often be decided together with the head of each committee and projectleader depending on how much time you have free. A minimum of 5 hours per week is required to complete the basic work involved in the role of committee head. For regular members expect at least an hour a week.
