The Social Sciences Student Union has four full-timers. A full-timer is a student who has taken a year-long study break to work promoting the union’s activities. The Social Sciences Student Union’s four full-time employees are: the Praesidium, which consists of the President and Vice-President. Then there is also the Secretary General and Project Leader

Axel Nordanfors Thorsson
I am the President of the Social Sciences Student Union.
What I do: I am ultimately responsible for the operations of the entire Union. I lead the work of the Board and Fulltimers, together with my vice lead, the Union's education political operations, represent the Union in Lund University Student Union Association (LUS) and maintain contact with the other unions and nations involved in the Studentlund cooperation. Nationally, I advocate in education matters through the Swedish National Union of Students (SFS).
Who am I? My name is Axel, and I am 22 years old with a background in both Germany and Sweden. I have been a student at Lund University since 2022, and during that time, I've completed my bachelor's in politics and philosophy. I love running, spending time with those I love and card tricks.

Kian Garazhian
I am the Vice President of the Social Science Student Union.
What I do: I am responsible for the union's external collaborations and, in the president's absence, fulfil their duties. Together with the president, lead the education political work, represent the Union in Studentlund, and represent social science students at the Faculty of the Social Sciences (so-called Big Leagues). Furthermore, I act as the main student welfare officer and coordinate the faculty's student welfare officers.
Who am I? My name is Kian. I am 22 years old and from Iran. I have been a student here since 2023 and have been studying in the Bachelor's Programme in Development Studies. I love going on walks, so you will see me around campus, and I also enjoy playing sports. I am really excited to meet all of you and to work together in the union this year!

What I do: I manage the Union's internal organisation and resources. I am responsible for the organisation's finances, administration, and support for various internal bodies and sections. Furthermore, I am also responsible for the Union's external communication and management of digital platforms. Lastly, I am also the Union's chief safety representative.
Who am I? My name is Melek. I am 23 years old and from Skåne. I have been a student at Lund University since 2022 and have taken many different courses, but the main ones have been history and politics. My favourite things are reading and writing, but I also love dancing.
I look forward to meeting you all at Samvetet (the house)!

Rasmus Fredriksson
I am the project leader of the Social Science Union.
What I do: I coordinate, lead and have overall strategic responsibility for the Union's projects, labour market activities and events. I work with the Union's various committees and assist them as needed. Furthermore, I work to strengthen our members' link to the labour market by organising our labour market fair and collaborating with external actors.
Who am I? My name is Rasmus, and I am 24 years old, and I come from the small village of Skurup in southern Skåne. I have been a student since 2023 and have been active in student life since 2024. Currently, I am studying to become a teacher in Swedish and history. In my free time, I love spending time with my friends and watching sports, mostly football. With that being said, I look forward to seeing you all and hope to make your time at the university a bit more interesting.
